So stock selling way under resource value. Of course it is not classified as resource yet. Au contraire, it definitely is a resource, and a very well defined one at that. As a U.S. company, though, they can't call it a reserve yet, as the feasibility study's not complete, and they don't have the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 classification of the resource, though it would correspond to a measured resource. From the 10-Q:From 1999 through early 2005 an oxide zinc resource has been defined that management has determined contains sufficient estimated zinc metal to justify a feasibility study of the mineralized material. The separate area for which they announced some zinc drill results today, on the other hand, is not yet a defined resource. They could probably hire a Canadian geologist and come up with a big "inferred resource" estimate, but they instead are continuing to drill to define this new mineralization area (potentially a new "manto") more thoroughly. Most of the silver they've drilled is in a third area, for which they've previously announced some stellar drill results. This "polymetallic manto" is probably close to having enough drilling to have the resource defined, as they had thousands of drill samples before 1999 and have recently been redrilling this area. Until they do a resource estimate for it, though, I don't think the "polymetallic manto" can be classified as a resource yet. Perhaps part of the selling is because people are confused about what Metalline actually has. The new drill results aren't for the "iron oxide manto," which has already been well defined and is undergoing the feasibility study, but is exploration for a whole new zinc deposit. And the silver drill results are later-stage exploration for a whole new polymetallic deposit. There's a heck of a lot of potential resources they're going after in addition to the huge defined resource. And there's a lot more they haven't even touched yet.
