We're making the same point.

But, in answer to your question about enemies who didn't use worse torture on our GIs, how about Iraq in Gulf War One? As I recall, our captured pilots, including the female chopper pilot, were held without any torture. The tried to scare them to death, but didn't actually torture them. One Navy pilot, Lt. Jeffs I think, beat himself up to make it look like he was beaten by the Iraqis, but he wasn't.

Then there were the captured Army troops in Bosnia. They were held for a few weeks, then some Clintonista US general flew in to retrieve them, gave them a big awkward hug on international TV, and brought them home. I still cringe at that hug. Generals don't hug corporals. <G>
