Re: Now there's a great phrase. And one that usually warns me that someone is getting ready to say something over the edge, and probably bigoted or just mean.

I am not speaking "over the edge".....I am merely repeating verbatim what muslims around the world are saying. Get a clue!

Read the placards they carry daily! They are making their intentions as clear as can be, and still you don't get it!

Muslim in the literal sense is an Arabic word that simply means believer (believes in God). Infidel is someone who doesn't believe in God.

You are wrong. In the language of the Holy Qur'an, Islam means the readiness of a person to take orders from God and to follow them. "Muslim" is a word taken from the word Islam. It applies to the person who is ready to take orders from God and follow them. Islam means "submission", specifically total submission to the word of God as recorded in the Koran (or Quran) by the Prophet Muhammad, a message delivered in 7th century and believed to be God's final revelation to humankind.

Infidel is someone who doesn't believe in God

You are wrong again or your definition is very loose and dimly defined. An infidel (literally, "one without faith") is one who doubts or rejects central tenets of a religion, especially those regarding its deities. More generally, an infidel is one who doubts or rejects a particular doctrine, system, or principle. The word infidel derives it's meaning from the latin root infidelis[1]; a notion of being unfaithful or treacherous.

In Islam, the Arabic word kafir (????) refers to non-Muslims, frequently with a derogatory sense [2], and is usually translated into English as "infidel" or "unbeliever". The Turkish equivalent of "kafir" is giaour.
