When humans have near-zero value, they value things differently from $40,000 per year GDP people. If the near-zero people have philosophical ideas of megalomania through their tribal entity [unlike Buddhists and Hindus and Libertarians for example] then they are likely to derive their sense of value from group identity. So, they will do some suicide bombing. Just as Japanese pilots flew their aircraft into USA ships to stop the invasion. When one doesn't have great value, but does have strong group identity, one is only a step away from enhancing the group by do or die sacrifice, or do and die if necessary. Islam is loaded with near-zero people, with violent ideology, despite the protestations of being a peaceful religion. They mean peaceful when everyone does as they are told. Meanwhile, it's stonings, burnings, honour killing, decapitation and hand-cutting, and continued Islamic Jihad. Unless their philosophy changes, which seems unlikely as it's basically chimp behaviour [alpha males rule and the tribe goes and hunts other tribes with adjacent territory], the situation won't change unless they meet a hard edge on the periphery of their control. T They don't meet a hard edge. They meet a permeable barrier which has invited umpty million of them into infidel heartland, like a Trojan Horse, from which they will appear when the time is right to wreak havoc on the evil infidels. They don't go to New Zealand to learn my cultural norms. They go to get the goodies which I and my ancestors built over a century, the great lifestyle, make some money and take over and enforce their ideology. Which, of course, will turn the place right back into where they escaped from. They have had many centuries and hordes of people to build back where they came from. What did they build? Not much. If they had oil, their bosses built some palaces and bought lots of girls. Mqurice

Right. If this is WWIII why isn't there a draft? Why aren't the Republicans demanding more taxes for more weaponry rather than trying to reduce taxes for corporations and the ultrawealthy? If this is WWIII, why is the answer 'shopping' instead of 'sacrifice'? Can you imagine Republicans fighting WWIII? Half of them would go hide under the bed waiting for those blue helmets to come rescue them, one quarter of them would be trying to figure out how to steal from the US Treasury and one quarter of them would be doing multibillion dollar budgets on a laptop computer and using political science graduates to create stock markets. Ooops, they've already done that in Iraq. Do you trust YOUR WWIII TO REPUBLICANS?
