No, the normal trip time is a little over 4 hours - this isn't Europe or Japan we are talking about here. Although the train can reach speeds of 150 mph, it only does so for very small sections of the route because the track hasn't been upgraded sufficiently in most places. If they could cut another 45 minutes off the trip it would be pretty competitive with the shuttle on a door-to-door basis. (The other issue is that they share the lines with freight trains and the like, raising the possibility of a delay substantially).
