How can you not like dogs and country music? Shame on you. No, I get your point, CB, I just don't take it as personally as you seem to. Have you ever spent any time in our "advanced" 50th state? "Howlies" (sp?) are outrageously discriminated against. In the "advanced" country of Japan, "gaijen" (barbarians, or non-Japanese) have all sorts of laws against them, including the inability to own real property or to gain citizenship. There are many instances of institutional prejudice, including in our own South from the post bellum days. Even in the US of A, there are laws that not so much prevent white males from doing or getting things as there are laws that provide advantages to non-white-males, effectively the same thing. Discrimination is all around us. CEOs get paid more than janitors, bosses have more privileges than workers, etc, etc. Yawn. That's life. If you want to talk about the horrific deeds perpetrated by people in the name of religion, I'll jump on your bandwagon. Taxing people of a different religion really isn't worth my adrenaline.
