"You gave me one verse in support of your argument that Islam does not advocate forcible conversion."

I gave you one verse that is foundational as in 'a principle'. "There must be no coercion in matters of faith!" (2: 256) There are no exceptions. You were simply wrong in your allegation and hesitant to say so.

The others, you posted, do not contradict that principle. They are contextual and in reference to something else. That does not mean that they aren't part of the message to Muslims about their religion but it means the context of the situation is part of the meaning. You had no background, so I explained in a paragraph or two what scholars have written libraries to cover. Basically that these situations were justified under the extreme situations the people faced at the time. There have been bad situations since and, people may face extreme situations, of torture and persecution in the future so there is good reason for Muslims to know how things went in the past. They are not a directive to go_a_behead'n for weekend entertainment. I reckognize that terrorists use texts like these to justify their evilness, just as you have used them to justify your views of all Muslims. It is a corruption that people like you and terrorists willingly, and excitedly engage in.

"Not true. I have no beef with Muslims as long as they leave non-Muslims in peace." ...LOL, as in (Would y'all mind stepp'n off the planet) nice try.

You think we are having a debate. I don't. I am just trying to help you avoid the embarassment that comes with corruption.

If you want to take aim at those who target innocents, tyrannize and brutalize populations, rule with oppressive and corrupt venues I am with you. But the Quran, or Mohammad are not to blame. People are. People who use religion to hurt people are part of that issue.
