Ray; Log -- The goal of the American Birling Association is to make the sport bigger and better, not degrade sport. Some have been saying there is "overwhelming support" from the log rolling community to switch to carpeted logs. We can inform you that this is definitely NOT the case. We have spoken with many people within the sport, including many of the top competitors, and none of the had heard anything about moving to carpeted logs, nor had they voiced their opinion in favor of it. The American Birling Association does not support the move to carpeted professional logs, as it threatens the sport of log rolling's integrity and future. With a sport as diminishing as ours, the last thing we need is to put another nail in the sport of log rolling's coffin.
