I lived in Ghana Africa from 1977-1978 during a military coup. Nothing changed at all. Military crooks took over from civilian crooks robbing the people and cocoa farmers via foreign exchange controls and import licenses. Went to the same restaurant and bar that I normally did, nothing much changed from day before the coup to day after.

TJ,
I am in Thailand now and can report no change in everyday living. They have declared a holiday today, but everything will be back to normal tomorrow. Outside of Bangkok, there are, no tanks, no soldiers and the Thai people seem very unconcerned, almost disinterested. Based on what I've seen so far, your planned visit should be as usual. Will update you if things change.

regards
Ray
