Thais are not Moslems perhaps. Indonesians are. Islamic Jihad seems to raise some ire. Being Moslem means you have to be really, really angry. Especially if somebody makes fun of you, or draws a cartoon. Or says you are angry and violent [which was the Papal problem]. <Thais are much more and naturally hospitable folks than Indonesians, imo. Hard to imagine them going dangerously> If people say you are violent that means you have to attack them to prove them wrong.

I wonder if telling Buddhists they are violent makes them murder.

Now that a nun is dead, and various pillagings and mayhem has been done, I suppose the Pope has learned the error of his ways and will issue an encyclical that he has found that contrary to popular rumour, Moslems are neither angry nor violent and that Islam is a great religion of peace.

Let's consider Koreans for a minute. They seem to be Really hard core - their riots get featured on the "Wildest Police Videos" programs. I don't thing I would want to be near any of them.

Thailand looks very calm, with flowers on the military vehicles and pictures of the King.

So a coup in Thailand is much safer than a football (soccer) match in Europe....
