I have some contacts in Thailand.. I doubt foreigners are under any threat from the coup. More likely one would expire from excessive debauchery or getting killed in a road accident. So far no shots have been fired unlike 1991-1992. The King is behind this coup, and if the King is behind it, things will very likely be peaceful.
