No, the 30 & 80 GB models are still hard disk based.


Otherwise, if you have to ask for the price [for a 80 G flash model] you wouldn't be able to afford it :-)

I'd expect to see a nice improvement in unit sales but an overall drop in revenue and ASP as the shuffle and nano are more compelling than the full-size model (which as a result probably won't sell significantly more units.) I think the plan is to sell a ton of shuffles and merely a lot of nanos over the holidays.

That is about what I am expecting. I think a decline in units would be pretty disappointing considering the fact that they just released upgrades across their entire product lineup.....and the fact that prices are significantly cheaper this year than last year.

The Apple store still has all of the Nano's shipping within 24 hours and the iPod's shipping in 1-2 days. Can anybody remember an iPod release not causing a shortage within a week or two of launch?
