hi hamoon, you apparently misunderstood, due probably to bias of some sort.

Tobajack, the only bias I have is against the party elite in Bejing. I have no bias against you, or the rest of the residents of Hong Kong.. And don't be so quick to forget that it was due to protections of Britain and the US that prevented the communist chinese from seizing the colony and providing you the ability to have the such a free economy.

I sincerely hope that you're right and the apparatchiks in Bejing succumb to the style of Hong Kong democracy and economic style... But I'm also a realist (if not a cynic) and choose not to be impressed with fancy words and promises. I'm more interested in actions and results and I'm still not seeing much political progress in the majority of China. All I see is the party elite shuffling the political chips around trying to avoid the inevitable...

...namely political opposition and a free marketplace of economic ideals and social ideals.

Btw, while I support capitalism, I also recognize that it's just as much of a tyrant as communism, unless its accountable to a democratic society. Capitalism is great, but it must be harnessed to uplift the entirety of society, not just the few.
