EP, <<Stratfor is having another hissy fit>>

... this is why the journey towards Teotwawki will be so much fun, not so much because of the destination, but because of the comic relief from the likes of 'bomb them straight' Stratfor, 'Jahad-this' Hamoon and 'Light Sabre Q' Maurice.

<<Treasury Secretary is a dangerous job>>

... firing Paulson would be funny, as in 'off with his head' Alice in Wonderlad funny.

<<Raising questions about the 9 tons of Plutonium India has and the re-labeling of a big civilian reactor to military should be brought up>>

... especially given that India is not a treaty signatory, ala responsible entity, potentially disruptable by 180 million Jihad-this :0))))

Though criticism about India will be relatively muted, so as to continue with the joint purchase of equity barrels across ME and Africa by the Chinese and India state oil companies. Maybe even Sudan.

<<You would think the US might consider selected arms sales to China, to recycle some T-bills and forestall the Europeans and Russians ;-) Maybe some earlier model F-16s ;-)>>

... those know-how long available and for the most part implemented, by way of staunch alliance with Taiwan. So, I am certain it would have to be the F22, and only if the Pentagon is at all serious about increasing purchasing power of the defense budget, lighten the load on J6P, and outsource production, which, if so, would tend to worsen the trade balance :0)

<<This would also be a good way to prompt Japan and Korea to buy the F-22 to maintain an edge>>

... should that be the case, they would find that N.Korea mysteriously getting more robust and tougher talking.

<<Maybe even Taiwan could buy the same model F-16, so as both defend the island and to have parts commonality after unification ;-)>>

... like I mentioned, the stuff has already been transferred, so it would have to be the F22, with royalty not payable to QCOM :0)

Chugs, J

Immigrants make mark: Massachusetts is trying to tap into the economic potential of Brazil,

Mass. Moves in on brazil

Massachusetts is trying to tap into the economic potential of Brazil, which in recent years has become a major trading partner while also providing the Bay State with tens of thousands of immigrant workers.

The Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment said yesterday it’s opening a new trade office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, making it the state’s fourth overseas trade office.

“In the past decade, Brazil and its (South American) neighbors have become increasingly important trading partners for the commonwealth,” said Christa Bleyleben, the agency’s executive director.

Exports to South America, Mexico and Central America are now running about $2 billion a year. Brazil itself is Massachusetts’ 17th largest trading partner, with $283 million in goods and services exported to the giant country last year.

Andre Mayer, economic research director for Associated Industries of Massachusetts, said the state’s move is “smart” considering the growth potential in business with Brazil and its neighbors.

Massachusetts is home to numerous past and present immigrants from Brazil, Portugal, Cape Verde and other Portguese-speaking countries, giving the state a high profile in those countries, he said.

Massachusetts - which also has trade offices in China, Germany and Mexico - will hire one contract worker to run its Brazil office. The cost was not available yesterday.

ELMAT: We need to replicate that in Wyoming too!!
