Many years ago we lived with a small creek as our back yard property line. We had 4 plum trees along that creek. They were a magnet for skunks and raccoons. One evening my dog was creating a real fuss and suddenly we got the "drift". He'd attacked a skunk (or the other way around). He got a tomato juice bath that night but stunk for days.

Another time he had a 'coon sitting on top of the telephone pole in the back yard. Interesting times, those.
