Disney Posts iTunes Movie Sales...

The Wall St Journal
September 20, 2006 12:33 a.m.; Page D3

Walt Disney Co. sold 125,000 movies in the first week of the company's download agreement with Apple Computer Inc.

Disney Chief Executive Officer Robert Iger said the downloads brought $1 million in incremental revenue and he is "extremely confident" Disney can pull in $50 million a year in incremental revenue from digital movies, with little additional marketing expense.

Initially, iTunes is offering 75 movies from the Burbank, Calif., media-and-entertainment company's studio properties, which include Pixar Animation Studios, Miramax and Touchstone. Apple CEO Steve Jobs recently became Disney's largest shareholder and a board member.

>>Wow. So it supports dual monitors?

That would be great for those who need to be CRT based (CRT screen for the photos and the flat for the controls, menus and tetris).<<

SP -

Yep. It supports dual monitors, though you do need a mini-DVI to whatever adapter.

My ex will be using the iMac's screen for her artwork, by the way. Though the Mistubishi CRT she had was a high end model (with a Trinitron tube), next to the iMac it looks washed out. It will be relegated to menus and e-mail.
