BRAMPTON — One of the GTA terror suspects was denied bail today.

Zakaria Amara, 20, of Mississauga, is one of 18 males charged in the investigation of an alleged terrorist group. He was in Brampton court today for the decision.

Details of the hearing can’t be printed because of a court-ordered publication ban.

Five of the 18 suspects have been granted bail.

Meanwhile, a bail hearing for terror suspect Steven Chand, 25, also known as Abdul Shakur, has been continued to Sept. 27. Lawyers told reporters at previous court appearances that the allegations against Chand include planning to behead Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
