XM had no choice in the matter. Sirius had just gotten NFL and without MLB XM would have had no sports credibility at all.

Ahhh!! You see.. It's all up to Rayian Logikā„¢. XM HAD TO do a bad deal, because SIRI did a bad deal.. Yet, SIRI didn't have to sign a marquee "shock jock" because XM signed Opie & Anthony or who ever they are.

While the NFL makes a great promotional partner, the reality is that MLB makes better content.

Now, if I am not mistaken. SIRI actually produces their own content for NFL, while as you have claimed that XM simply snags a feed from the local MLB team feed.

In one case you have complete creative control over the content, while in the other mode, you have no creative control.. Yet, somehow, Mr. Ray has determined that XM's MLB tag along feeds that provide no standardization for content presentation is somehow a "premium product" as compared to SIRI's "custom creatiion" NFL Feeds.

LOL! This guy presents so much of his OPINIONS as being FACT that it is near criminal.

And so it goes,

When will you learn how far off your statements are?

I agree with those who claim that both SIRI and XMSR overpaid, for rather limited benefit, for the NFL and MLB respectively.

The reality is that the NFL at least has a chance of being a success.

Why? I'm not pulling it out of my rear as you do.

It comes down to gambling and the interest that exists because of the limited number of games.

There are very few people who are in the universe of being baseball fans, away from their home market, and listening to a baseball game. Yes, baseball has an enormous number of fans. But baseball fans go to the games, watch on TV or listen on local radio. They don't need XMSR.

Football carries a different cache at this point. Football creates exponentially more interest for neutral fans, largely for the reasons mentioned above, gambling and the limited number of games.
