Buddy, All of the POWs that I have talked to, over the years, have told me that the Japanese ignored the fact that the Geneva Protocols even existed. Those that were imprisoned by Nazis said the about the same thing, except that the prison camps officers scoffed at the mention of those protocols. You ask Pappy Boyington how he was treated by the Japanese. If he is still alive, he will give you an ear full. If you're not up to date on him, He was the Marine leader of the Black Sheep Squadron, and, I think, a double ace. The treatment of prisoners these days, is to get information from them, and they already know that the dictators care nothing about their existence. Good grief, Hussein killed hundreds of thousand of his own people. What makes you think that he would give a damn about his soldiers that got caught?
