To me, all that sounds like an excuse on the part of Israel for having failed to defeat Hez because it is inconceivable that the Israeli code was "crackable".

What seem more plausible for Hez success were that

1. Hez have lots of state-of-the-art night-vision goggles which the Israels assumed they didn't have; those goggles enabled Hez to monitor Israeli night-time tank maneuvers and they also have state-of-the-art tank-destroying missles;

2. Hez phone communications utilized fibre-optics rendering them unjammable by the Israelis. OTH, Hez were regularly able to monitor Israeli communications to their advantage;

3. Israeli commanders and their forces were overconfident and they regularly underestimated the courage, tenacity, resourcefulness and resilience of their enemy.

One poster (a self-proclaimed Zionist) on The War on Terror thread predicted victory for the Israeli forces because he was sure that "the spirit of Sharon will be upon them soon......."

Oh well, the rest is history.
