It was reminiscent of the frostily polite reception he received at Mrs. King's funeral. Mostly dead silence, a few bemused smiles as his words were translated through the headsets of diplomats from third world countries, and a series of oddly strained looks on his face. It seemed very clear where most of the world stood on his "we're a peaceful nation," pronouncements. Unlike approximately 40% of all Americans, they seemed more impressed with what he does than with how he characterizes what he does. But then they're not stupid. Ed
