I shut all my computer stuff off at night, DSL modem as well.

Bob, I leave my DSL modem on all the time, but shut the computer down at times. I think AT&T recommends that. Anyway, nothing bad can happen with the computer off.

Besides, AT&T said to keep the modem on the first 10 days for modem 'training'.
