First a note that I appended a 5-year MXAM price & volume, and I will speculate that shorting MXAM, even if illegal, is possible. 1. The last time ijre shorted MXAM it was between $0.05 and $0.08. (i.e.)100,000 shares, and he immediently sold them for... 100,000 x .05 = $5k or 100,000 x .08 = $8k and today to cover he must cough up ijre joined SI Feb 16 2006 (about 6 months ago) where MXAM has stayed at 3 cents or above, so the best cover would be 100,000 x 3 cents is $3k Seems thats too much for ijre, per 100k shares shorted. 1½. Even if MXAM goes under 2 or 3 cents, the entity that hired ijre as a basher needs MXAM to bounce ONLY between 1 and 2 cents many times over the months, or even years, if they represent huge shorted amounts like in the millions. WHY? This entity never thought Maxam would have REAL news releases, as they now have, and they need to cover their shorts before MXAM "gets really real." Its kind of silly, the words of Maxam Inc news releases versus ijre's. Imagine having shorted MXAM many times over these many many years, even illegally, them shares cost nothing, they sold them for big bucks over the years, and never covered. It was like a free lunch that never ended IF Maxam eventually failed, or better yet to them, continued another 100 years before failure, all the time bouncing between 1 and 5 cents. 2. The other ijre possibility is a legit MXAM shareholder like us, but ijre's personality is one that counters every hic-up in his life with a doom-gloom responce to it, as if his crying of "wolf" will cause others to not run away, but run towards him, and do whats necessary to reverse his misfortune and save him. doug
