Yet in the run-up to war Bush said there was "no difference" between Saddam and Al Qaida, that we "cannot separate them". That was the root of the evil which started that war, a big fat lie which he now pretends he didn't tell. Cheney also stated that Mohammed Atta met with Iraqi intelligence. That was a big fat lie and he knew it, but he repeated it over and over. Bush also claimed Saddam had Al Qaida training camps. That was based on some drunken boast by an Iraqi exile who turned out to be a BS artists, and German intel told us he was full of it. But Bush used it anyway.
