Chavez is a tyrant? Actually, he was elected. He may be a goofball and frinds with Castro, but he's not exactly a tyrant. Some people say he cheated to win the election. But so did Bush. Twice. No, what Bushies really hate about him is that he has the oil they want. It's all about greed, hundreds of billions worth. And Chavez doesn't play ball with Exxon and Chevron. That means Bush-Cheney want him taken out.

The point with guys like Chavez is that if we had a sane, mature, moderate, sensible president and administration not in bed with big oil, instead of one who lets Pat Robertson talk about assassinating him (yep, Bushies started the trash talk) then these kind of foreign leaders would not be hostile to us at all. In fact, they could be allies and we could buy Chavez's oil instead of Saudi Arabia, the biggest funder of Al Qaida, at least until recent years.
