We certainly have much larger issues in the US, but as long as the government keeps pandering to the "gimme people" it won't happen.

I'm in favor of English as the official language, and I think it's a pretty big deal. I'm not in favor of outlawing burning of the flag, because I think these matters should be dealt with by ridicule and derision, not by felony prosecutions. Anybody who wants to burn the flag as a protest is a moron, because there is nowhere else on earth where freedom is so deeply woven into our national fabric. That's why I think they should be laughed out of town instead of arrested.
