Pot, here are interesting posts from people on a local message board who rarely discuss national topics. They're more interested in state politics, but Chavez grabbed their attention with his devil remark:

>>Perhaps our friends on the left side of the aisle take Chavez seriously? It's sad when Americans rally around a Chavez or Ahmad*%5$jad over their own President. I know, Bush is unpopular but to side with the enemy because you detest someone so bad is truly sad to me. Even when I disagreed with Mr. Clinton in the most stringent of ways I would never ever take the side of the enemy no matter what. But hate from the left is so extreme. I am tired of politics.

**Listen to and watch the speech again. It is worse than the highlights you quote. He talks about smelling sulphur. He suggests a psychiatrist. He can't be serious in all this garbage, and yet he is the President of Venezuela speaking at the UN. No wonder they call him "loco" in his home country.

**The UN takes Chavez VERY seriously...and it is a shame when people take the side of the enemy due to politics. It's downright dangerous in these times.
With "friends" like this, who needs enemies?

Barbara Boxer actually said this today, "It's a matter of pride for these countries to have nuclear bombs."

HUH? Does that mean it will be politically incorrect to try to stop proliferation?<<
