Wow, what a story.

It took so long because I was on an ATV/Motorcycle-only trail way in the middle of no where. We didn't even have cell reception and my buddy had to ride up Farwell Mtn just to be able to use my cellphone (there was a trail). Glad I did have it on me or I may have had to spend the night, and it got down to 22 degrees the night before!!

It took them 2-1/2 just to reach where I was at and I had to ride on the back of an ATV for 5 miles to get to a Forest Road where an Ambulance was waiting for me. Then it was 28 miles on a dirt Forest Road and then another 30 miles to the Steamboat hospital. I really was in the middle or no where, which is were I liked to ride....

Didn't puke on the morphine when I got it at the hospital, the Search and Rescue people didn't want to give me anything in the field in case I need immediate surgery, and actually didn't eat anything for three days. I actually lost 15 pounds, which I needed, from this experience.
