What? you gotta stop smokin that stuff..... So the man was born in Syria, it would certainly explain why they thought they could get away with sending him there. I admit I don't know how the US made an arrangement with the Syrians and got them to keep quiet about it. And to be able to arrange it without any concessions makes me very curious. But the sheer evil of the Canadian consul sitting there waiting for the reports of what Syria squeezed out of Arar so he could take it back to the mounties, un bloody believable.
