It's part of the core. the bottom part is crossbraced. The corner columns in the core were crossbraced. The exterior columns had no cross bracing.

They also messed with the elevation of each photo to disguise the fact that the structure was falling. The water tower or whatever that is in the foreground gets higher from the 1st to 2nd and from the 2nd to 3rd photo. Because of this, when you look at the structure in the background, it doesn't look like it's falling.

That site is obviously trying to misinform and fool people into believing that the steel disappeared into thin air. They've manipulated the still photos and probably the video.
