And Dave has been as a prominent user for just as long. Even before it became official, Dave was always far more than an average user. He's been extremely supportive all these years, and has had a lot of input that's always been taken seriously. We're still here. It's still the same tree. Dave and I still run it. I'll be able to disclose more specifics later, but the gist of it is that this isn't a situation where they're taking it over and we're disempowered. To use their words "If we could do what you guys do, we'd have done it rather than buying you." I'm increasingly psyched about the future. Lots of features I've always wanted and users have always wanted, and then some, will become reality. Since acquiring the site from InfoSpace, we've focused purely on one thing: Being the best message board possible. Richness of features, quality of content. That kind of stuff. We immediately and purposely dropped a lot of things because they weren't part of our core competency. Now we belong to a company who has those competencies we lack. We're still going to focus on becoming even better as a set of message boards, but we're now going to work on becoming so much more. But I've probably already said too much. <g> It's hard to manage expectations when my own are so high. But I still want to keep new feature rollouts a surprise rather than telling anyone in advance what we're working on. We can't fly by the seat of our pants anymore because there's more on the line, very high expectations of us, and shareholders who want to see results. But we can still spring nice surprises on you, which will appease the "maverick" in us.
