It's a pity that they never were clued in while in HS what was important and why. My daughter just completed her first month as a Freshman at WSU. She remarked on what an adjustment it is to be 100% responsible or following the sylabus and reading the applicable material in advance of class. Amazing. HS kids are used to being spoon fed information. The schools are pushing kids on to college, but are not giving them realistic preparation for even basic study skills.
