Since messy, complicated processes don't make for neat, clean, simplistic slogans, they don't get much attention in the political chat world online or on the airwaves. But they are the brass tacks, where the rubber meets the road in terms of actually achieving anything. That's how a slogan like "stay the course" or "defeat terror" takes on a moral life of its own with no regard to its feasibility or desirability when implemented (not to mention figuring out how to turn a slogan into a real policy).
