Actually Chris he did not lie. He diverted the question. Partially because as he explained in a live interview with Larry Kind last night, his mother had never told him and when he asked her about it she asked that he never reveal his heritage. Evidently she still has the fear that was to prevalent during the Nazi regime... Anyone with a Jewish mother was fodder for their concentration and extermination camps... He was respecting his Mother's wishes and after he has assured her that there is nothing to fear she relinquished her request that he keep it private. He may not have all the qualities that I would want in a Governor but one has to be fair about the event surrounding a mistake.
