LOL!LOL! yes russia kind of thought it was rude too that we wanted the pakistan ISI to create the taliban, who then opened arms to UBL and al qaida .. to cause the russian collapse. The Taliban were not around during the Soviet occupation. In fact, the earliest reference to the Taliban came around in 1994, I believe. The Taliban are SQUARELY the creation of Pakistan's ISI. The US has NEVER really had any major say in Afghanistan, primarily due to our having to defer to the ISI. And hell, Al Qai'da didn't actually exist until 1994, when Ayman Zawahiri merged his Egyptian Islamic Jihad group together with UBL's MAK. These are all widely known facts that are freely available.. At least to anyone who's willing to do a basic internet query on the subject. Hawk
