Bushies have dominated the media on the international issues for more than a week. They know how to use the power of the White House to captivate the media, just make Bush deliver five long speeches in a row including a 9-11 anniversary speech and a UN speech. Also, the fight between GOP moderates and Bush was a big attention grabber. Democrats were not involved in that fight. And the Chavez and Iranian speeches were headliners. All this helps Busha bit. Maybe good for a temporary 3-4%. But Bush is not running for congress. And the GOP congress is more unpopular than ever.

Don't worry, the pendulum will swing back. Iraq is still the #1 issue which Bushies have been steadfastly avoiding for 10 days. But they can't avoid it for long.
