I remember when this board was started...it's a pretty cool idea.....but, I dont participate and post picks because I dont want to win several times every week on picks that arent really moving that %, and nor do I want anybody to see such and such stock up 100%, and me the winner and then somebody runs out and buys the stock.....We all know that to win this contest very easily and often, all we have to do is pick .0001 stocks. Most .0001 stocks flip back and forth between .0001 - .0002 on every buy and sell, creating the illusion of a 100% gain, when in reality, I could do that 5 times a week and win 5 times a week and it will appear that I have made 100% everyday, but in reality I have made zero..... IMO, that loophole for this contest can be easily solved by NOT going with the 'listed closing price' of each security and instead use the BID, or what you can sell for.....this eliminates folks being able to do what is described above...pick stocks that show a huge % gain, but in reality there is no gain and it would be less 'deceptive' to people reading the board and seeing stocks up whatever %, which might not be accurate. I could NOT win by picking...say DDSI at .0001 and everytime it closes at .0002, I win and it shows I am up 100%, when I am not up squat....the guy that picked GCHR...He WILL be a winner whenever a single share is bought at the ask....but in reality, the stock did NOT go up whatever % that will show.... So, if all stocks picked and the % gain was based on the closing BID and not the closing PPS, it would be fair and far less deceptive as none of the games above could be used to 'win the contest'. People would not be deceived and see a stock up 100% and buy in thinking they are catching a MO MO up move, when that is not happening in reality. And, if the purpose of this contest is not to simply win some contest which means nothing ( throw in a huge prize for winning this contest and I would change my mind<g>)and is to find stocks that show true, legit moves, then it really should be switched to the closing BID....that shows the true and realistic picture with no deception... Just a thought...long and rambling, as usual for me <lol>
