"JC Watts" Watts quit because he was promised some power and some authority, but as a congressional Repugnican he found himself just used for photo-ops, in other words, a token. Powell's credibility was spent lying to the UN about bogus reasons for invading Iraq, then he was discarded like so much used ass-wipe by the Bushies. He's redeemed himself slightly by opposing the Bushies penchant for torture, and been roundly castigated as "disloyal" by rightwingers from all over.
