Bush can now torture legally to his heart's content and rip up the Geneva Convention. That's the new "compromise" with McCain who caved in after two days of grandstanding.

Bush lies his head off every time he says "we don't torture". This whole affair is because we have been torturing a la Abu Graib ever since Bush and Cheney approved it in 2002.

But get this, though no foreigner can charge the US with Geneva Convention violations, we can still charge them. So it's an official double standard and it establishes Bush and Bush only as the ultimate judge on what is torture and what isn't. With no legal respect for any other country. In other words, like all the other Bushie lies, if Bush says it, it's "true", no matter what the evidence to the contrary.

36% still believe Saddam was behind 9-11. Just as Bush trickily insinuated in 2002-2003 without a shred of evidence to back it up. And Bush can't affect gas prices. And had nothing to do with letting 9-11 happen. And didn't cheat to steal both elections.

And Republicans complained about CLinton not admitting he cheated on his wife? Truly, this is a criminal administration. We cannot believe a word Bush says anymore. for he has the Official authority over what is "true" and what isn't. Just like a dictator. How sad. How alarming.

True--it's sincerity on the Republicans part. Who can forget the day Bill Clinton stared into a TV camera and said "I never had relations with that woman." Clinton admires actors because they're such skillful liars as well. His rant today re OBL showed desperation on the Democrats part. In recent days many articles have stated Republican candidates are closing the gap with their liberal opponents, so the Dems sent in their blustering big gun. Sincerity is not among Bill Clinton's political skills.
