True Conservatives get shouted down in the public square these days by the cool aid swilling FAUX conservatives, whose mantra is 'truthiness'... reality is however you can SPIN something, verifiable facts are irrelevant.

The great icon of the conservative movement, Ronald Reagan, agreed to Tax increases as well as tax cuts because it was necessary to restore fiscal order to the house at the time. The idea that tax increases are always "bad" or "evil" regardless of the size, form, length before sunsetting, purpose, etc....is just plain stupid!

Read my lips..no new taxes (but don't ask me to cut spending either)....

Fat cats got theirs now. Don't ask them to do a thing to keep us out of trouble. No financial sacrifice required for the war in Iraq, the war on terror or the Highway bill, for Pete's sake! ..but what about the next generation?

Well, let them just take care of themselves!
