I'm afraid the Owl will have to ride the Ox on this one. We just "think" we win battles but these Market Participant types always have and always will take their cut off the top. They truly believe that they should be allowed to run things as they see fit because they know more than anyone else and that without their control (legal or not) there would be no world leading market in the US. When I think about the way illegal activity of all kinds attracts cash like a magnet... I am not at all certain that they're wrong. To put it another way... if we made the US markets completely transparent, electronic and even handed with no dishonesty, deception of fraud of any kind... would it remain the largest market on the planet... or would capital move elsewhere? I don't know what would happen, but I have no doubt the change would be shocking to the system. 0\|0
