Gee... could it be that throwing red meat to the most extreme of your 'base', while ignoring your governmental 'knitting' and the broad middle, could not be a viable long-term political strategy?

Already longer then WW I, or WW II, or Korea... and costing more then the Vietnam War. Not surprised to see this as issue #1.
