That then makes it a good argument for a contrarian viewpoint and a buy.

Just as over zealous buying 6 years ago created an inevitable downdraft and its associated negativity at some point the book value growth and increasing hordes of cash begin to become if nothing else a value play.

I'm optimistic in Q3 earnings, since the recent extension of R&D tax credits,will no doubt provide overpayments in the first two quarter of this calender year and lighter payments that will adjust for the previous overpayments will fall to the bottom line.

This should be a great increase in cash and margins.

The negative attitude towards the SCE sector is the result of a number of issues. Sure, the exuberance shown toward the sector back in the heyday of the dot com mania and the subsequent bust is a major factor. Options excesses is another reason why the sector gets negative press. The cyclical nature of the business and the excessive optimism at the tops also help create a questionable environment. The inability of many of the sector's CEOs to be anything other then cheerleaders is yet another.
