I hope you are all correct, but as far as the actual "stock exchanges" are concerned from where I sit "transparency" would mean the end of monopoly control by brokers/market makers.

The huge industry/corporate effort to water down SarbOx at the very same time it was forcing the back dated options scandal into the light; the smaller corporations complaining about compliance costs are spending just as much if not more on executive option grants, anti SarbOx lobbying and perks; not to mention your standard garden variety S&L Insolvencies to Enron scandals, I have already lost whatever "confidence" I may have had in these markets.

As best I can tell... its only saving grace is that it's the only game in town.
