I have heard those good news stories from Andrew before. He is a good guy but maybe a tad bit too optimistic. First drill thing he said and zincman will remember "you will be happy" yeah right with black shale

There are a few times I've sold a stock because the CEO promised more than he delivered and it was a mistake.

Of course, I am sure there are times when selling has been the right thing to do. <g>

Bob Hoye has talked extensively about how much underinvestment in exploration there has been for the 20 years. At the risk of misquoting him he has been saying to buy the best exploration companies - that's where the real money is going to be made over the next few years.

I don't own that many. They are too thin, there's not enough information on them, and I have to take too big a position (# of shares or percent of the company) to be meaningful. When I do buy one I'm not going to put anything other than a small percentage of my PF in it. But when I do get in I'm not going to bail because of one or two failures.
