I agree with LTBH, Newegg is my supplier of choice. Prices are competitive and their service is hard to beat. Plus the user reviews can be helpful.

Here's another place where I've occasionally bought something when the price was better than Newegg's.

zipzoomfly.com

I've built a few desktops and the major advantage is being able to pick and choose the components that you want. It can be hard to build one and beat the total price of a pre-built..it can be done, but it takes patience and at least a couple weeks of component price watching looking for deals on the hardware that you want.

It's kind of fun and not really that hard to assemble the components..but Cheeky's approach has merit. Probably less frustration and the cost is probably comparable.

EDIT: did not read Shadowmans similar comment till after my post ... but will leave this post as the feature does bear highlighting IMO.

Forgot to mention a very nice feature at Newegg ... customer reviews ... on more popular items could have couple hundred reviews ... spending the time to read on item in which you're interested can be very beneficial ... will find comments on Newegg service, delivery as well as the actual product.

Also check frequently as they have not only active rebate program but also special bonuses such as when I recently purchased a Cannon A630 ... had $30 rebate plus a one Gig Memory chip.

Anyway, as previously indicated, I have always been satisfied with em, last purchase was a BenQ FP93GX LCD monitor ... not a single dead or stuck pixel, delivered on time and at a great price.

Luck
