Bzzzt. You cannot be more in error. Republicans in the US have increased the national debt --- not deficit, the actual big honking debt --- by 50% --- READ IT: FIFTY PERCENT --- in the last 5 years. Unbelievable. Republicans, conservatives, are also borrowing like crazy with half of new borrowings coming from overseas. Republicans, conservatives, are squandering money in noncompete, costplus contracts instead of putting them up for COMPETITIVE BIDDING. Republicans, conservatives, are cutting taxes for the ultrawealthy AT THE SAME TIME as they are prosecuting a hugely expensive war. This piece of greed is unheard of. Republicans, conservatives, want OTHER PEOPLE TO SPEND THEIR MONEY while they spend less and receive more. Republicans, conservatives, are nothing but thieves in nice suits. Republicans, conservatives, have proven themselves to be wasteful and incompetent on top of being frauds and thieves. Why do you want these people running the local gas station much less any government. As I've said repeatedly healthcare in the US sucks. It's hugely expensive, hugely inefficient and often deadly. I just cited another report that says the Americans do not get what they pay for. Another report says that there are 100K-200K deaths caused by medical malpractice. Another report says that there are mistakes caused by the inability of some doctors to write orders/prescriptions legibly. I blame the AMA and the government which allows them to run roughshod over common sense and the people who just take this baloney. The AMA just recently successfully lobbied to cut in half the number of foreign doctors admitted into the US. This is on top of their century-old campaign to limit the number of newly minted doctors (by limiting the number of schools) and to limit the prosecution of dangerous and stupid doctors. I also blame the private insurance companies who do nothing but take in profits by limit care whenever and however they can. We need to go to a single-payer, nationalized healthcare system. If we have roads and sidewalks and defense and parks and paramedics and the like available to everyone, why the blooming heck can't we comprehend basic healthcare available to everyone. We're all in this mess together, even the Republicans.
