Bushies hate Social Security and want that money. They want to privatize it. But voters don't allow it. What we need is a bi-partisan concensus not to privatize, but to adjust SS so that it's liquid for another generation. Howard Dean was big on that. But it's the third rail of American politics to change it, so you need both parties doing it in tandem. The problem is, Bushies want to privatize which is in actuality a huge ripoff scheme. So Dems cannot agree with them on that.

The Dems need more of this... beating a dead horse for the fear value like the Reps always do:

They are doing it here. Darcy Burner is trying to unseat a House Republican incumbant. She has one hit piece where during the entire ad Bush has his arm around the incumbent. She has a good chance of winning even though she is running in a Republican district. In fact, she has raised more money than the incumbent even though she has never run for office. That prompted Rove to come out last week hoping to raise more money for the guy.
