Makes sense. Actually, today's cars really are a wonderful piece of engineering. Most newer cars don't need a tune up for about 100k miles. Gas mileage isn't all that bad either. I drove my '04 Buick LeSabre across the state of Wyoming and back to Denver in June. On the road it got 32.2 mpg for the trip. Around town here I still get 24 mpg. Good for a car that size.

They also don't feel responsible for ruining an engine that doesn't have any oil in it. <G>
