Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat offered his sympathy to Americans and said he was horrified by the devastating attacks, which also hit the Pentagon.
SURE he was.

Afghanistan's Taliban rulers condemned the attacks and rejected suggestions that suspected terrorist mastermind Usama bin Laden, who has been given asylum in Afghanistan, could be behind them.
Right.
If you never left FantasyLand, I suppose you could believe that like the bunch on "Bush- -Mastermind". Otherwise it requires insanity. Or are the two the same?

"It is premature to level allegations against a person who is not in a position to carry out such attacks," said Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban ambassador in Pakistan. "It was a well-organized plan and Osama has no such facilities."
Uh huh.
Maybe he DIDN'T in Afghanistan. What he had was lots of money and sent nuts to this country for training. And our law enforcement agencies were asleep and ignored reports of very odd occurrences at flight schools. Also, the state dep't. did nothing when they overstayed their visas.

President Gen. Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, one of three countries that recognize the Taliban's government, condemned the attacks and called for cooperation to combat the "modern-day evil" of terrorism.
Right. So now he makes a treaty with the Taliban and refuses to let US soldiers cross into Pakistan in hot pursuit.

Yeah. Anybody got any other fairy tales? :-)

I tend to believe reports that the US twisted his arm to get cooperation. Too bad they didn't break it. Or just turn Afghanistan into a sheet glass that glows in the dark.
